Finally found out the author of those books I LOVED but couldn't remember the name of or author of. Terry Pratchett Discworld books. Most amazing, funny as hell books I think I have EVER read. I am excited.

I'm reading a small town's Rosh Hashanah Machzor from 1273. It's amazing how the prayers are virtually the exact same ones we say now. You'd think there would be some differences given the fact that each community wrote up their own machzorim. Before they were written up, the prayers were almost all oral tradition. Just another example of oral traditions staying virtually undiluted.
