I buy books and never read them. I just like to have them. And they have to be mine, nothing from the library.

O, I read them, but if I start a series or I find an author I like, I gotta have every single book of theirs, or I go crazy. So I normally spend around $100 in B&N on the rare times I go in there.

I like the shape and feel of books and the way they stack up on the floor and stuff. And mostly, I like to know that I have them should I want to read them. So, buying them is a habit for me, but it's based on their shape, color and weight more than anything....

... wondering what island Jenn is on? Maybe it's a figurative one. Often feel that isolated, myself, in the midst of company, mind.
It used to be literal, now mostly figurative.

Still haven't found that damn eraser.

Killing off a character so my main character will pull the lead out and make her next move.

Haha I didn't even know there was a Bulgarian Idol.

Some of these people are so so so so awful, but I can't stop giggling at them.

Did you ever see "ken lee" on Bulgarian Idol? That just makes me laugh until I can't breathe. Here you go:

First of all, aadams-- your sig, is hilarious!
If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.

Ready to assault my monitor.

I want to give a critique, but I can't figure out the editor tool thingy for posts.

Ugh. I hate computers. :(

Staring off into space... being generally useless... waiting for my husband to get home and praying the kids down burn down the house in the meantime...

Step into my nightmare
Watching Paranormal State and calculating the kids' points for the day.

We set up a system whereby they earn 'points' for various chores, taking the dogs out, saying "Ma'am" and "Sir", grades, etc.,; and losing points for infractions such as poor grades, forgetting to say "Ma'am" and "Sir", arguing pointlessly with each other, etc.,.

Each 'point' equals a minute on the computer. The Girl, so far, has accumulated at least 4 hours of computer time while The Boy is at 0. So far, it seems to be working like it should. They each have Excel spreadsheets where their running totals are kept.

We're trying to teach them that being polite and responsible is the best way to get along in the world.

Besides, I told them that if they get the reputations for being nice, polite kids, they can get away with a lot more. It worked for me. :evil

well, I was a bit disappointed with Paranormal State... all that buildup and not a lot of revelation. I hate the way they try to sum up everything. Oh well...

I finished writing for the night. Was very tired today, so I took a long ol' nap and didn't write until 11 pm... I'll do more tomorrow.

Drinking my second cup of tea of the day and trying to wake up so I can start work.
