I've got to thank everyone here for helping me see that maybe, just maybe, these poems deserved to see the light of day.

Hi Don,

Good to see you get organized and make the effort. The accomplishment and satisfaction from achievement will always be more valuable than any financial gain.

If I may make a suggestion – ask someone else to write the main blurb. It felt, to me, that you were apologizing, in advance, for any disappointment a potential reader may encounter.

Few will bother with a book if the author does not think it is the absolute best ever written.

Colin: Yes, it is satisfying to get them together in one book, even if the only ones who enjoy it are family and friends.

Thanks everybody for the good wishes. I hope those of you that buy a copy will enjoy it! I put some of the stuff here on AW, but most of it has never seen the bright light of the real world.

I'm pretty pleased the way the book turned out, and if anyone has a desire to put their gems into book form, I highly recommend lulu.com. Although it does take a little work, it's pretty easy to get good results. One tip (also recommended by lulu): when you have the book ready, order one copy for yourself to check the layout, page numbers, table of contents, etc. All in all, it was a great experience.
