I use microsoft word. I have just done something that's going to be seriously annoying. My fingers type with a tangle and as often as not said is typed siad. Now with the spell check no problem.
But I accidently added siad to the dictionary. I realize in its own good time micro will delete any additions I make to the dictionary - for example all character names and words from other languages. But I don't want to wait for that on this one.
Is there anyway to get rid of that addition?
Ready to do pay attention penance with my find and replace button.
Thanks for any help or sympathy,
Stlight

The process for removing words from a custom dictionary will vary from version to version, so rather than trying to explain how, I'll suggest that you launch the online help and do a search on 'edit a custom dictionary'. That will give you the instructions for your version of Word.
Good luck!

While Terie is totally correct, we might be able to provide a bit more help. What version of Microsoft Word do you have?

First thanks to both of you.
jhmcmullen, now moving into the darkness with my answer. when I think it was version 97, but I'm not at all certain of that. Is that what you mean? If it isn't, and I doubt it is, where should I be looking for the version number?
Stlight, technically confused.

You should be able to edit it from within MSWord.
