Welcome to AW! I mostly write fantasy and such, but I have written a sitcom or two as well, which is why I mostly join this site was to find out how to get it in the right hands! This site is great though and enjoying my stay. Hope you enjoy yours as well!

Uncle Jim talks about being disciplined about writing; setting aside time whether you feel like it or not. I am struggling with that myself, but working on making it a part of my routine.
After awhile you will find all the helpful threads if you just click around. There's info on format, genres, queries, and there are also social group for writers with similar ages and lifestyles. Here are some good links:
