if *someone* thinks we're wasting trees on PRINTING those books he sould be glad most publishers have gone to electronic submissions....think of all the crap that was sent through the mail....lol :roll:

I've not heard this rule before, but it certainly makes sense to me. Reading now I've started writing means I have a better idea of planning out my plots.

Good point. I also like to look at what I'm reading and see if I can see the scaffolding...all the behind the scenes work the author put into the story. Before I was writing, I just read (without paying attention to the little man/woman behind the curtain).
