I'm sure you have a reason. I just found this:

African American Literary Agents (http://www.hurston-wright.org/agents.shtml)

It looks like 2 on the list are men.

You might want to ask a mod to move this, because the forum it's in right now isn't one you'd want an agent from period.

No legit agent likes PublishAmerica. When looking for an agent, you do not want to mention that you were ever printed by PA.

You sure do not stormie, won't to do that, I found that out. so the next one I did not do that, even Avon Romance, they turned me down today, cause I had made the mistake of telling them about it, three months ago. Now, I know not too.

Sex and race only matters to me now, since all the crackers and sisters I showed my book to dissed me. You people talk all this 'race don't matter' b.s., meanwhile every agent looks and thinks akin to you.

It's up to the Black man to save me now. I put my fate in his hands.

I see from your posts that you have a history of trolling, so just a word of advice to non-trolls who might be feeling frustrated by too many rejections.

The vast majority of aspiring writers aren't good enough to get published. If you are rejected by every agent you approach, it could be part of an enormous jealous conspiracy to suppress your obvious genius. Or you could just be part of that vast majority. You're not good enough yet, but you, unlike the conspiracy theorists, can get better - perhaps even good enough to break into that tiny minority.

Read more. Critique work. Do writing exercises. Seek out mentors and workshops and writing groups who can help you. Write another, better book. And try again.

A published writer is an unpublished writer who didn't give up.

"dissed" you? As in, rejected your book because you're black? Or rejected your book?

I'm going to let the quoted posts stand, even though I deleted the source post. And Prophet can find answers to his questions elsewhere.
