I have read in the blogs of several established literary agents that the preferred length today for mystery-crime novel is 80000 words
and for the thriller - 90000 words.

(I probably can find the web address of the blogs, if someone
wants them.)

Obviously the preferred length of the suspense novel will be similar to crime-mystery-thriller.

Nevertheless, can someone point me to a webpage where an ESTABLISHED, RESPECTED agent or editor discusses the preferred length of the suspense novel?

Scroll down and hit the Ask the Agent area. Nathan answered a question for me (Thankies!) about word length. It's a fairly common concern, and there are quite a few questions about it in that area.

Miss Snark, I believe. Check the Swivet, too.

I'd asked my agent about it, as I was finishing up a novel I'd been describing as a mystery. She said 80,000 was optimal.

Just finished and sent it to her. I now consider it a hybrid, mystery with suspense elements. It's 83,400 words. In the middle :-)
