There's a listing for an education writer to produce an age-appropriate activity hand-out (pays $500-$1,000) at Freelance Writing (http://www.freelancewriting.com/forumdir/fjb/index.html)

Looks like fun work!

Thanks! It looks like a good company. After checking out their website, I decided to go for it. (big step for me) I just sent off an e-mail with an informal resume and requested more information.

Thanks, I'm saving all these great websites and am getting quite a wealth of information in my files! I appreciate you posting it!

Fantastic - keep us updated. Hope you get it--the resume value alone of a gig like this can be extremely high.

I'm glad I attached a read receipt. Here's the message I just got:

Your message was deleted without being read on Mon, 11 Jul 2005 09:16:35 -0400

So, now what?

If he didn't even read it, how do I approach this? That original posting was just last week. It's not like it's an old request.

That happened to me fairly recently on a different gig - I shot off a copy of the same application email (from my "sent" file) with the SUBJECT: has the position been filled?

I got a reply the same day.

Very good. I'll try that.

Never did get a reply of any kind.
