i found nothing funny about it. i'm just grateful for Ontario's health care. i guess that makes me the odd man out. i didn't laugh once reading this...in fact, it didn't even bring on a smile.

I'm quite grateful for Canadian healthcare and I thought it was cute. Not as good as the famous Canadian apology, but not bad.

Meh. Mildly entertaining, but too ridiculous to be really funny. Only the paragraph about tropical diseases came close to being true. Well, maybe the one about gunshot wounds... The closer things hit to reality, the funnier they are, IMHO.

I'm quite grateful for Canadian healthcare and I thought it was cute. Not as good as the famous Canadian apology, but not bad.

I guess the reason I couldn't allow myself to enjoy it is the recent spate of Canada Health Care bashing that's been going on South of the border...I am so offended by it that I can't read/enjoy humour on the topic at the moment.

I've always heard nothing but the best about Canada's health care system, though it isn't perfect, it's far better than what we have going on around here. I apologize, KTC that others find the need to belittle Canada.

The best one I've seen is from one of the protests, somebody wrote 'IF SOCIALISED MEDICINE IS SO GREAT, WHY DIDN'T KENNEDY GO TO CANADA?' on a placard.

I was actually speechless.

Ah, see that's why I liked it. I saw it as a sly way to belittle that. Mostly I've just given up on any of the current discussions of the Canadian system unless someone asks me privately, one-on-one, what I think of our system. Otherwise, I just get too frustrated.
