Well, yes, I'd rather have gotten a request for pages, but I do now feel more like an actual writer.

And you know, it hurt a little, but it wasn't devastating.

Here's to the next one!

Congrats, Lady. The biggest step isn't writing, it's submitting and then dealing with the almost inevitable rejections. You're doing great. Keep it up. :hooray:

All the rejections make the requests even sweeter when they start coming in!! Good luck!

You're doing better than I did. Sent out first round of queries last week and got three form rejections the next day! Ouch. I decided to give up on querying first book. Luckily, the good people on this forum helped me rework my query and I sent a new batch out today. The first book isn't dead yet. Lol

Good luck!

Yay!

Kind of!

I mean, rejections aren't a good thing, of course, but at least you're there! I'm hoping to get my first rejection soon here! Haha, or... not rejection, but whatever!

congrats... I think :)

You get used to them. I was really getting down right around my tenth rejection, but that was when I got my first request for my full mss.

:hi:

I was excited about my first rejection letter too! It was proof to me that I was really trying. Now, 5 years and probably over 100 rejections later, I'm still going at it. May you not have to query as long as I have. :)

welcome to the 'i've been rejected' club. Rejection is just one more step in the publishing process. Don't give up and just keep trying!
