Congrats, Lady. The biggest step isn't writing, it's submitting and then dealing with the almost inevitable rejections. You're doing great. Keep it up.

You're doing better than I did. Sent out first round of queries last week and got three form rejections the next day! Ouch. I decided to give up on querying first book. Luckily, the good people on this forum helped me rework my query and I sent a new batch out today. The first book isn't dead yet. Lol

You get used to them. I was really getting down right around my tenth rejection, but that was when I got my first request for my full mss.

Yay for rejections! Wait…did I just say that? Yes, Yay for rejections! At least you got yourself out there.

I was excited about my first rejection letter too! It was proof to me that I was really trying. Now, 5 years and probably over 100 rejections later, I'm still going at it. May you not have to query as long as I have.
