I was going through some emails from four years ago and came across one that a friend sent me the day after I was hit by a car. I forgot how much this made me smile (giggle uncontrollably, probably - I was on a lot of morphine) - he wrote a limerick and a haiku for me.
The limerick:
There once was a girl called Talina
Who got hit in the side by a Barina
or maybe a sedan, hatchback, or van?
Doesn't matter, 'cause the c**t should have seen her.
The haiku:
Talina's shoulder
Rendered immobile by a
Stupid fucking car
Writer friends are the best.
