Yeah. Reaganomics, sudden increase in homelessness, the closest we've ever gotten to nuclear destruction since the Cuban Missle Crisis, the lack of government study and funding for AIDS, good times, good times.

Hair bands...

Hair spray (Aqua Net in the white can - Ultra-super-mega-bouce-a-brick-off-your-hair-hold. Um.. sorry about that hole in the ozone layer and all)

MTV - yes, kids, once upon a time, MTV did play music. That's what the M stands for.

I was in high school, no responsibilities, no worries...

And let's not forget the fall of the Berlin Wall.

**sigh**

Think I'll go play some Motley Crue. :D

The 80's happened?

Oh, yeah. That's when I was in a bad marriage, had two kids, worked double-shifts and generally didn't notice much about the ourside world except what irritated me (like MTV, actually. LOL!)

It was also the era when home computers became more common, that color monitors were introduced, when floppies gave way to "firmies" (we called them "Trek disks"). At the start of the 80's, the computer and programs ran off a disk drive. It wasn't until the end of the 80's when there was actually enough memory IN the computer that you could store programs and not have to load them constantly from the floppy. That was a big deal.

Oh, and dot matrix printers. And daisy wheel printers. I really miss our old dot matrix.

That's basically what I remember about the 80's.

I don't remember the '80s, considering I wasn't born until '91.

You young people!! You remind me of the people I work with every day who have no idea what I'm talking about when I mention anything from before 1995. :)
