Rep to post ratio for...what reason?

I agree with Ben. It's totally meaningless. Some people go on threads begging for reps, and get them. Others give reps to their friends for everything they post. In some cases it's just a measure of popularity. For that reason, I think worrying about such a thing is for those people who really do miss all of that high school bullshit of needing to be constantly reassured of one's developing worth.

I appreciate each and every rep I get because someone took the time to comment on something I posted. But I don't know what my ratio is and I really don't view that as anything close to important.

I'll restrain myself from repping Neuro on his post. That said, I agree with him. I don't and never have worried about the "ratio" of posts to reps. I care about what's said in my reps, though. I like getting them and appreciate getting them, but I value them for their content, not for the volume.

I've only looked because I know I don't post that much and was curious. I've almost the number of reps that I do posts.

Other than that I don't care about the count. It's the content I like.

I shoot for a 1:1000 ratio. I'm hoping for my thirteenth rep soon.

I don't think there's any such thing as a good rep to post ratio. It's just a fun silly thing that's been included as an option for the board. It's not a measure of anything.

I'm with Cranky, tj and Fizzy: quality not quantity.

I can tell you the percentage that are smut though.

I've used rep points to communicate a quick message so often, and had other's do the same, that any idea of a ratio is long out the window.

All I can tell with some certainty, is that Idiots is getting better rep content than I am.
