Hi...(waves timidly at Cathy-mod, as usual, nuke me if I'm in the wrong place)

I know I have a few posts here (AWWC) but the majority of them are here in Romance, so that's where I feel most at home. I read the announcements etc. thread and didn't know if this qualified...Anyhoo, I've got ROMANCE books up for grabs!

I've been having a July Blog Blast on, ah, yeah...my blog. So far I've managed 29 straight days of blogging. Not bad for a hit-'n-miss blogger like me.

To celebrate, I've done giveaways and this is the biggest one yet. A trade paperback of, Sandy James' 5 star romance Turning Thirty Twelve plus, a choice of one of my recent releases.

My latest contemporary romance, Jackpot, which recently won Long and Short Reviews book of the week, or my romantic comedy, Cozumel Karma, which is a Literary Nymphs Golden Blush, Reviewers Choice read.

Stop by the blog, answer a couple easy questions and be entered for a chance to win! http://www.elaineforlife.com (http://www.elaineforlife.com/)

Winner drawn midnight July 31st!

Nice looking blog site thingy (what ever they're called). I'm unashamedly blog illiterate!

Synonym, thanks and  about the 'thingy.' I'm about in the same boat, except for my teenagers, who straighten me out on all this web-thinga-ma-jig-junk! You should click back and enter (psst, the correct answers are already there ;) )

Sandy! I have no problem promoting Turning Thirty Twelve. It is a great read. That's why I want to share it. :)

Ok, did it. Mine has the Hah! in it.

I like the empty nest syndrome idea. I used it in the first book I worked up, only with it being the man's excuse to seek a younger single woman with a boy that needed a father. It sent my FMC off on quite an adventure after the divorce.

Thanks! I wrote this book just to please me, never really thinking anyone would want to read about a forty-two year old heroine. I'm so glad it's been so well received and reviewed. Nice to know other people appreciate an atypical heroine. Plus, in all honesty, Jackie is so... me. ;)

How cool is this?? Just received an email that Turning Thirty-Twelve is a finalist in the Aspen Gold Readers Choice Contest! I only entered it in a couple of contests, and it's finaled in Colorado Romance Writers' Award of Excellence and now Aspen Gold! I'm so happy! :hooray:

Nice blog. I like the July's quote. I think I will print it, it will come handy now that I'm beginning to submit.

BTW, I couldn't find where to enter to win the books.

:)

I think Lainey is going to draw winners from the people who leave the answers in a comment. :)

@Shameless and Lainey, thank you. I found it, and posted the comment.

Sandy's book sounds like a must read for the one of us heading in that direction...without a road map.

:)

Thanks for the compliment! I wish I had a "user's manual" for my forty+ year old body. Seems to be having as many periodic breakdowns as my laptop. ;)

You're welcome, I was just telling my younger sister about your book. :)
