what really the diffrence between the books. relonship books talk more about the promblems in a relaonship, but romance book talk more what you been though to get back together. If it was choice which would you choose?
I think I'm more into relonships than romance. because Ive seen so many and I'm in myself, but at the same time I'm very romantic.

relonship? what really the diffrence? Publishers are just tripping over themselves to pay you a boatload of money for those wise words. Good Luck.

Hi WritersLiving,

It sounds like you've chosen a topic that is "hot" right now. Did you see this article in the NY Times about Black relationship novels (http://www.nytimes.com/2005/06/27/books/27auth.html)? (You have to be a member to login, but it's free.)

I think the difference between romance and relationship novels is that relationship novels take a more modern and complicated view of relationships between men and women.

Best of luck!
Jackie

MZPrint,

Blatant rudeness toward a writer for asking a question on an open forum is completely unnecessary. If you aren't interested in the question, don't respond. It's as simple as that. You may want to think about editing your post title. I see you're new here, and we have one rule on these boards: respect your fellow writers.

Romance as a genre generally requires a happy ending with a committed relationship. It has a certain formula which is followed to some extent depending upon the publisher. I don't know if there is a recognised 'relationship' genre but many stories can be about loving relationships but not romance per. se.
