I have completed my second novel! Of course, I have the 1-2 week long revision session, but the novel itself is written!

To answer the question: I'm basing the 1-2 weeks thing on how long it took me to revise my first novel. I spent 2 weeks with that one. Though hopefully it won't take me that long this time because I was doing a lot of revising each time I wrote something new.
