Playlists for you MC[s]

Does anyone else do this? I make a playlist for each MC, with songs that fit his/her personality. Sometimes it makes it a little easier for me to get in their shoes, so to speak, especially if it's a new character.

A lot of these ones I picked just for the lyrics. Fay's list:

Sinkin' Soon - Norah Jones [okay, this one is more for the music than the lyrics]

And, obviously Jason is way more mellow. There are mostly for the music, less about the lyrics:

I integrate the MC songs (image songs) into the soundtrack. Usually b/c of the evolution of the character during the novel, it would be difficult to separate the character-specific songs fom the plot-specific songs and end up with two different soundtracks. Although, Mai's been begging me for more songs <sighs>

The music that mainly plays when I write is instrumental. Two Steps From Hell is incredible. They do most of the trailer music for movies such as Star Trek trailers, Inkheart, Up, The Dark Knight, Prince Caspian, etc...

Two Steps, Transformers soundtrack, and Lady in the Water soundtrack mainly. Between those three, there is perfect music for everything in my book from the action, to tragedy, to romance.

Okay, I separated out my songs by character, and added a couple I knew worked for the characters. I know I swore at Mailee the other day when I found her a new song, but I cannot for the life of me remember what it is. (ETA: The song was "Beautiful Disaster" by Jon McLaughlin. Thanks, Pandora) Some songs are shared by characters.
