Kira - You're an amazing writer, and I look forward to reading more of your work - here, by e-mail and, of course, on bookstore shelves.. It's too bad we have to lose anyone; in my mind, you're right there with us. :Hug2:

Thanks for all the kind words, guys.
Honestly, Joanne and I discussed topics that would knock us of the running in the very beginning of the contest. Humor was one of the ones I knew would be the end of me, so I'm not surprised. I did the best I could, and that's all I can do, so I'm not too bummed out. I haven't been writing near as long as the final three, anyway--I didn't expect to be in this contest at all.
Now, I can start lengthening some of these entries to send them out, and work on my novel again. And Mac, I can give your prompts more attention now :)
Thanks for all the support, votes and lovely comments you guys have sent me throughout this contest. You guys have given me the confidence to believe I can write, something I wasn't sure of two months ago, and that's a valuable thing.
Congrats to the final three...

Though it doesn't take much to make me weep anymore, I admire writers who can touch a person and stir emotions as well as you. There were pieces that I honestly couldn't even read-through b/c they didn't connect with me but I never had a problem reading your work. Thank you for the inspiration and know that you have a talent that deserves confidence and continued dedication.
Congrats to the remaining idols...
