A lot of twists and turns to this story, as our hero,
Andrew Mwangura, finds both in reality and as a model for a movie hero
(the first comment is a gem too):

When manufacturers make money off of tragedy with crappy toys and momentos, it's called crass materialism. When the Left Coast does it, it's called art.

Is there no crass materialist art?

How about Jeff Koons?

Yeah, but that doesn't qualify for tragedy unless her husband is just off-camera holding a ceramic shotgun.

Does that guy know there's a snake right there?

I'd have a hard time maintaining an erection if there was a giant snake right next to me.

Just sayin'.

Good point. Jeff's work does seem pretty crass and materialist though, I think. I guess I kinda like it...I haven't seen any of it in person though.

On the other hand, that ceramic series "Made in Heaven" on the Jeff Koons site, does in fact represent him and his Italian porn star wife.

Yeah, I see what you mean. Well maybe that's the "Arty" part of the art.

Andrew Mwangura would rather be played by Denzel. Maybe he hasn't seen Snakes on a Plane, though.
