Heya guys. I'm a 17 year old senior in high school and I finished my second YA novel a couple of months ago (58,000 wds) and I received an email from the Sarah Jane Freymann LA asking for first 60 pgs and synopsis, which i sent yesterday, priority mail. QUESTION for fellow teen authors: how likely is it--speaking of my age--that I get this published?? I wanna hear from teens who have gotten novels published or who have heard from some! =) thanks!!:)

You should join the teens writing for teens thread.
That's where *almost* all the teen writers hang out.

it's on the YA subforums. I'm a t.w.f.t., as stated in the link in my signature.

Okay... so..considering you were underage when you got published, were there any setbacks to that? like legal stuff??

my parents had to cosign contracts, but that was really it.

You can find the teens writing for teens thread here: http://www.absolutewrite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=128770&page=717.

Leave a post introducing yourself – your age and what genre you write are traditional first questions. We are very friendly! :)

Oh – and I’m not published, but I have an agent and my mom had to cosign the agency agreement.

I'm not a teen, but you're chances are the same as any other book. Age has nothing to do with it. As Shady mentioned, it's only an issue for the legal stuff. If the book is great, your chances are high. If not, they're low.

Best of luck!
