Hi, all!

I am looking for a few betas for a short story. It is about two brothers who are surfing at an isolated beach when they notice the sea receding. One brother panics, convinced that a tsunami is coming, and the other decides to humor him and climbs to high ground with him. The problem: they end up on a very exposed, uncomfortable ledge on a cliff, and the MC can't convince his paranoid brother to go back down, no matter what he does.

The story is about 5000 words, with some profanity.

I have some experience critting and beta reading and am happy to do a swap. You can check out my crits on SYW to get an idea if I'm the right style for you!

(I think an older draft of part of the story is there, too. It's been polished up since).

I'd be happy to beta-swap with you as I'm looking for the same for a short story that I've nearly finished - maybe in a week's time... Would that be ok. I don't want to give too much away about the plot as one of the things I would like feedback on is the plot and how you understand it...

I'd love to, but I have to say, I offer a beta-read from a reader's viewpoint, not a writer's. I know what I like, what flows well and such. But I can't give a technical crit. So if you're interested in something like that, let me know.
