If you are a poet in the Greater Toronto Area--or not afraid of a little roadtrip--come join me and some other poets at the Port Perry Poetry Marathon!
Register now for the first ever Port Perry Poetry Marathon! 24 hours of mostly inspiration and a tiny bit of perspiration to produce a fabulous marathon anthology!
The Marathon begins Saturday, April 18th, 2009 at noon and ends Sunday, April 19, 2009 at noon. 24 SOLID HOURS OF WRITING POETRY. The event will be taking place at the Scugog Memorial Public Library in Port Perry. There will be fun. There will be prizes. There will be writing. There will be wireless internet access! Come and join the event, hosted by the Library and the crazy poets of the Durham Poets' Combine. We hope to create and publish a marathon anthology for all of the participants.
Have a chapbook? Bring it along. We will have a retail table set up for people who wish to purchase some great poetry or just a souvenir to commemorate this event.
THERE WILL ALSO BE EVENT T-SHIRTS AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE.
Registration fee is $20 payable to the Scugog Memorial Public Library. To register or for more information please email Amy Caughlin at:

If you're game---don't forget to bring a sleeping bag. We get to camp out overnight at the library!
