Hello all, I have been over in the humor section, and thought I'd check in over here.
Back when Dot Com was all the rage, I had some luck selling my work as animated e-greetings, done in Flash software. I haven't kept up with the changes, and I know Hallmark and the larger producers have taken over alot of the smaller sites. Has anyone worked in this area, and share any thoughts about submitting to online greeting companies?
You can see samples of my work on my website;

it will give you an idea of what I'm talking about...

Your site looks pretty cool. Can't say I have any experience in that area either. I hope you find a place for your great work!

I have no experience with e-greetings either; I just know that American Greetings has them on their webpage.

Why don't you try contacting them? Your e-cards are great!

Thanks everyone for the compliments. I had some experience with American Greetings while trying to sell more traditional cards (it's like Fort Knox) and I haven't been able to figure out if their e-greetings are being done in house, or subbed out like I used to do.
*sigh* I'll keep you all posted, it is an interesting way to expand on cartoon ideas.

You've got some funny stuff on your site! The bouncing baby congratulations card cracked me up.

(You're a good sculptor, too!)

Weebil, great stuff. My favorite e-card site is

www.jacquielawson.com (http://www.jacquielawson.com)

She started small and kept adding new cards. Many of the people I send her cards to have also joined as members.

I'd suggest you write a short note to companies introducing yourself. Tell them what you do, ask them if they'd like samples and give them your website.

Good Luck!

Cass
