Old Man winter's
Breath, held frozen
Was let loose

Cumulonimbus mamma
Ran over mountains
To the east

Altostratus translucidus
Low and sexy
Rubbed mamma

Fully exhausted
The old man
Inhaled

How exquisite. Normally, poems that include words that aren't usually heard in my head (cumulonimbus ... translucidus) tend to turn a switch off in my brain.

This one flipped a switch to the 'on' position.

Thank you.

ajar, clouds gathered
feathered, tarred, greyed, torn, ripped, mared,
emperors new clothes

Hide inside
from ice and cold,

gripping cup
of chocolate tight.

Watch
the tree branches rumba
to the thunder
of chest-beating clouds

humming
soft symphonies
while winter knocks.

pregnant clouds
birth silver rain
blanketed in white;
human litters
made insignificant
by Mother Nature's
progeny

I agree, I thoroughly enjoyed the cloud pictures and the final stanza is just perfect.

I will blend your wood constructions
into my trees and hills
your bluebell blue paint
into my pale icy sky

your memory will blur
and you will not remember
a time that was not
windblown and sad

old man winter
huff and puff
blankets with snow
a funeral shroud.
