What do you think of this query idea.

Like many writers, I'm dying to get into a writer's magazine. Via my daughter, I just used facebook to find interview sources (the Iceland thing.) I thought it was so cool, and that possibly a lot of other writers don't know about it, that it might make a good query for Writer's Digest and the like. Then I could round it out by telling about using message boards, which there are probably writers that don't do. What do you think?

You can round it out with things like HARO too (which I learned about here). Would it fit into one of The Writer's front of book sections? (I should know that myself, but I don't have a copy nearby at the moment.) That's how I managed to sell to them last year; seems to be a little easier than w/a feature.
