Hi all - I'm new and popping in and out (so to speak) and trying to read what's going on bits at a time.
Anyway, I'm a writer (aspiring not published) of kids books. YA/middle grade stuff so far - the agent rewrite I'm doing at the moment is for 8-12 (that's the age group she thought it was aimed at). I've also got the start, about 8,000 words, of a YA Urban Fantasy. Looking forward to finding my feet here and having a chat.

Hey there and welcome! I'm a big fan of MG and YA urban fantasy, so let me know when your books come out! :)

Gotta secure an agent first but this one's saying all the right things.
I see you've had fulls requested - good luck with that and I'd love to know how you get on.

Good luck and also welcome. If you need some feedback on your writing, you can post some in our Share Your Work (http://www.absolutewrite.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=26) forum (the password is vista). The critiques can be harsh sometimes ... but honest, so prepare yourself for that. Everyone means well, though. Their goal is to get you the best novel possible and to get it published. Also, it does help to bring them cookies :D . Everyone likes cookies, right? You could also critique some of the other members' work too. It is surprising how that can help with you own. Check out the how-to guide threads in Main Share Your Work sub-forum, then post your material in one of the genre sub-forums.

Cheers Jed, I'll take a look. Harsh is good, I can take it. :Wha:
