Howdy Fellow Writers,
\
I found this great site that allows anyone to upload documents and turn them into eye catching online publications. And (drum roll) it's FREE. You can put an excerpt of your book on your blog or website. Check it out on my blog to see what it looks like, but most of all enjoy the prologue and first chapter of my book!

Also, check out www.podbean.com (http://www.podbean.com) for free podcasts you can put on your blog.

Not tryin' to be antisocial or anything, but this feels like a thinly veiled excuse to direct folks to your blog so they'll check out your book.

Looking at the site you recommend:

Issuu - You Publish http://issuu.com/upload
Issuu is the place for quality publications: Magazines, catalogs, documents, and stuff you'd normally find on print. It's the place where you become the publisher: Upload a document, it's fast, easy, and totally free. Find and comment on thousands of great publications. Join a living library, where anyone finds publications about anything and share them with friends.

I'm not sure what the point is, when authors can easily post excerpts on their blogs or create free websites to display samples, without going through some prettying-up process that seems designed to fool people into thinking something has been published when it hasn't.

Hi depaterso,
I think it is a great tool to use for published authors since it gives the look of the actual book while offering an excerpt of the novel. The 'prettying-up' process you refer to is similar to the 'search inside' feature Amazon offers authors and publishers to participate in.
I thought this is a forum where we not only share information, but also support other writers' work and efforts! Gosh, don't be so cynical!

Here's another one that's similar
http://www.scribd.com/ (http://www.scribd.com/) and it's
a great resource because it will
help w/search engine optimization.

Not only can you post, but this
resource gets high page ranking
on Google.

So anything you want to get
attention for... use this and it
will definitely help. I've been
using for over a year now... on
and off.

Continue to have a wonderful day!

Won't Be Denied,
