I've been meaning to buy the Writer and Illustrator Markets for Children's Book...maybe I'm not giving it the right title... does anyone know if this book gives information about companies that use freelancers. Let me rephrase this...Do any children's books publishers keep files on freelancers.....for projects or concepts. Everything I seem to read tells the writer how to go about submitting books to BE published.
I've been freelancing for a small company. I'd like to see if I can get more work elsewhere. Any thoughts, anybody????

Hey Cass,

2005 Children's Writer's & Illustrator's Market by Writer's Digest Books.

I just purchased a copy at Chapter's about a month ago. I've been going through it for info on children's mags for submitting giggle poetry. I also have a few manuscripts that I'm trying to find new markets for. It is a handbook worth having and is updated with new publishers every year.
