Joe!
Why haven't you uploaded a gif of yourself dancing naked through a field of flowers?
Mucho congrats!

It's really no big deal. I let go an old script that has seen better days to a fledgling production company out of Prague with high hopes.
Anyway. Thank you all for the praise.

Wow, that's an intriguing premise Joe.
Congratulations!!
I love hearing when other writers here have their work bought or otherwise achieve some writerly accomplishment. It serves as inspiration for the rest of us.

Congrats on the script sale.
I'm almost tempted to retract my remarks in another thread about scripts on the subject of cloning Christ ..
OTOH, the May 2005 issue of 'Fantasy & Science Fiction' has a story with a new angle on the old 'clone Christ' story. A review is at: http://www.epinions.com/content_4328824964
Great to hear of your success ...

Cograts man, I knew you could do it. I hope everything goes well and the movie gets off the ground without a hitch.

Joe, I'm embarrassed that I missed this until now. Congrats! Do you feel like a rock star, yet? :)
Joe Calabrese

Not quite a rock star. More like a garage band that went from playing the high school prom to opening up for Ted Nugent.
Funny thing... Since my manager and the producer has sent out the press release, I have gotten about 2 dozen congratulatory emails from total strangers (producers and agents), asking what else I got and to feel free in sending them queries.
Just goes to show you that it's not just who you know, but who knows you.
Same thing happened after I won 3rd at Slamdance a few years back. For a few weeks you are on Hollywood's radar. Strike while the iron's hot.

Well, since you got requests to show what you got, show them the new adaptation of the novel you are working on. Who knows, maybe you will get lucky.

What Kevin said. Hell, show them mine, while you're at it.

I guess since the ink's dry on the contract I can now tell all.
It's Kevin's novel "The Fire Within" (available at amazon, b&n.com and borders.com-- hint, hint...) that I am adapting into a screenplay.
Kevin and I have been working on the logistics for a while now and we are excited with the collaboration and have high hopes for its success.
Oh and Kevin, I am pitching it from those requests.
