How to Decipher a Royalty Statement?

Hi,

Just wondering if there's a site out there that helps explain how to decipher a royalty statement from a publisher after a book has been published? I've just received a couple of statements and they read like Greek mathematics to me. I'd really like to figure out how to understand them.

If there's a check attached, that's all I really look at.

I've been getting royalty statements since '91 and STILL can't figure them out!
