where's the theme/prompt/physically-and-mentally-pernicious-contortion for week 4?
I'm waiting too, William. Any guesses on what it might be?

I think it's a test. Jenna's hidden the prompt somewhere in the barren depths of the more infrequented sections of the board -- and it's our job to find it and WRITE!!
I'm off to take a look-see at the literary fiction section; I'll meet you guys back here.

I could never be so cruel (well, it'd have to really be worth it) but it did cross my mind to make up a theme and post it for you. Nah - you'd never fall for that anyway.

Hey William - you could get lucky and the next theme could be, write an apology to someone about something you regret doing. ;) (that's supposed to make you smile and feel better - DON'T WORRY!)

You look very contrite, William. Really. :)
C'mon, guys, Jenna's got to sleep sometime.
That's right, she's a real night owl, isn't she? I don't mean to sound impatient, I'm just enjoying this contest so much. Take your time, Jenna, enjoy your coffee. :Coffee:

I wouldn't feel horrible. It's a valid concern, and it's cool of you to voice it.
Jenna knows that we all appreciate the time she's putting into this :)
... you do, right Jenna?...

oh, i don't. that's just the max level of snarkiness i could muster while working a 11 hour a day job before heading home to work on freelance work till god knows when. sleep, indeed.

Maybe, just maybe, Jenna is having as hard a time picking a theme as we had writing to it. :D

William, that's the coolest thing ever.
I don't know of a single boy in America who didn't want to be involved in the video game industry when he got older. Well, I knew of a few, I guess -- but we always just referred to them as 'one of those.'

You ever consider acupuncture, Jenna?

For insomnia? Never heard of it being used for that. Neat.

OMG, Jenna. I can't remember what I did yesterday, let alone what things were like in 7th grade. See you next week guys. I have to trudge over to the junior high school and see watzup.

They can do anything with needles, those Chinese! >:-D
But really, I've heard it's quite effective; if you believe in qi and such, it's supposed to be invaluable in redirecting your energies to promote sleep, virility, appetite, balance, libido. Anything, really.

Some people just aren't keen on the ringing-in-the-ears one gets from a steel drum's booong.

5 people from my graduating class died... out of a class of 150! My guess is that Joanne will kill someone, she's in the dead zone.

5 people from my graduating class died... out of a class of 150! My guess is that Joanne will kill someone, she's in the dead zone.I went to a boarding school in eighth grade; we had a class of 25. Two died in mountain climbing accidents shortly after we graduated. Another nearly died of hypothermia while we were there. It's not quite as random as it sounds; the school was (and is) in the Adirondacks and has a strong focus on outdoorsy stuff. Perhaps fortunately for me, my focus was riding. It's a much shorter fall off a horse than a mountain peak.
As for the dead zone... Just because I'm not killing anyone doesn't mean there won't be dead people.
Given my personal experience of seventh grade, if I wrote a fantasy, there would be lots of dead people. Guess I should've gone to Haskins' school.

There were metal detectors in my seventh grade school...and there was a race riot too. What fun memories.
