Last night, after the show, they announced that the "final episode" will air next week.
Did I miss something? It's over?
Thought they would have a big finale or something.

It has been over for a couple of years now, more if you don't want to count seasons 9 and 10 as being part of the show.

It's sad to think that after 10 seasons it is actually finally over. Although Atlantis is still going, at least for the moment. And they're also about to start work on another Stargate incarnation from what I hear.

I do believe they have made two of these so far, maybe three, although it's probably two. I really should check that. Haven't see either of them. They're on my Christmas list if anyone wants to get me a pressie :D , along with Baileys and cookies.

I was gonna check but was too lazy and couldn't be bothered in the end :D .

As a besides, I have a special edition Stargate movie DVD (the original movie) and it has a lot of deleted scenes and commentary which is very interesting.

Apparently the spin off series Altantis is coming to an end soon. They've also going to release a feature movie, more likely a DVD release similar to The Ark of Truth and Continuum. And they are in works of a new series called Stargate Universe.

Oops! Stargate Atlantis is what I meant! I knew SG1 was over and that Atlantis sort of carried on. It just surprised me as the new bad/goodguy head honcho just got by being canned! They're leaving too damned much hanging!:rant:

I haven't been following Atlantis, but their official forum has the series finale ep airing January 9, 2009 here in the States.
