Text in Illustration

When submitting a children's story, is there a way to indicate text which should appear in the illustration? I have two words which shouldn't go in the text, but would add to the story if in the illustration. How do I present this, if at all, when submitting my story? Thank you!

I'd put the editor note in brackets somewhere in the ms. I've done that many times. That not only makes YOUR point; it also tells the editor you can look beyond your text to see the whole picture. Best wishes to you!
