When do you think Obama will dump Biden and 'chose' Clinton to be his veep? And what do you think the reason he'll give for his new 'choice'?

I give him two weeks -- by the end of September.

Obama dump Biden...never.

Haven't you heard, Biden has been keeping his major health problem a secret...one that he can longer keep from the American public?

I agree with the two weeks.

Any word if Clinton is preparing for the Oct. 2 debate? That would be a clue.

Or will she gamble and hope for a McCain victory so she can win the nomination in 2012

If she replaces Biden, people will try to do the math.

Will Obama get back the PUMAS and gain more independents?
Will McCain acquire more Clinton haters?

The talking heads and self-appointed pundits will opine. So shall we.

I don't see Obama dumping Biden ... hey, what major health problem? I knew he had an aneurysm (sp?) a few years ago, but outside of that, not sure.

Too late now. He needs to stick with his choice lest he seem like a follower rather than a leader. His response to the Republicans can't be "look, we have a woman, too!"

I think there's plenty of "reasons" he could use that would win him favor, PLUS let him conveniently drop out. A major risk, IMO.

No, people are already saying McCain is pandering to the female voters and that Palin was a stunt, just to win. I really don't think Obama would do that. It would be so obvious and he will lose his credibility.

Of course, anything can happen but I seriously doubt it.

It's not going to happen.

Hillary doesn't WANT Obama to win. She wants to run for Pres again in 2012.

I just heard Rush play a sound bite from Biden saying Hillary would be a better Veep, but I don't know the context. It's hard to focus on the radio at work sometimes. I think WendyNYC made a great point.

Why would he dump a perfectly good candidate that has potential to make an effective VP?

Obama wouldn't change his running mate. That would be too much fodder for the Republicans to show Obama can't make a decision and stick with it. Plus, echoing WendyNYC's comments, we have a woman too.

Perhaps Biden's comments were to set up Clinton for the next general election in case McCain wins in November.

Or gee, maybe Biden was just being kind and generous.

Obama will not dump Biden.

I don't think it'll happen for one reason: Filing dates for who will be on the state ballots. I know many states have a 6 week deadline, but I think some of them are 8 weeks--meaning that the tickets are set in those states.

I think that would be a logistic problem that any party would want to avoid.

I'm not waiting for Obama to dump Biden for Hillary. I am waiting for him to announce her as a member of his would-be cabinet.
