The blog looks interesting and I think it would definitely work for a nice little niche group of people. The large text in the left column under blog sponsors that mentions folks can place their ad there is unsightly. If you haven't signed up any advertisers/sponsors yet, I'd suggest removing it... or making it a priority to find one for that space.

Maybe you could also add more pics and even a video or two to your post to make it more visually attractive?

the white space on the left is really distracting... what about making the left sidebar smaller, or centering things more?
