Apparently, I'm making extra use of this section this evening. That's how things go I guess - in batches.
What's the youngest age for a child to have a treehouse? Obviously, they have to be old enough be able to take care of themselves to a degree. So, about the time they go off to elementary school? 5? 6? Does that sound about right? Thanks.

My daughter's wanted a treehouse since she was about 3. She's now 7, and I still think that's too young. I don't know - maybe 10, 11 or 12?

I had one at three ... it had been built by some older kids and I could climb the ladder.

I had one at 4 or 5 - because I kept climbing the tree anyway, so my dad thought it'd be safer.
My grandsons are 5 and 7. they have one.

My son is 6 - I don't think he's brave enough to climb a treehouse ladder.
My son's never been a climber, he's never taken risks at the playground, so he's safely avoided such challenges, and I am grateful. He is very cautious when he climbes anything today, and he's even a slower runner now that I think of it.....hmmm hopping over to another thread. Suddenly thinking my son may be a little behind. :P
Maybe you could write in a friend of your MC or mc :) that isn't quite as brave, hehehe.
