Not a poem. A book by James Lipton with more then 1,100 group terms, real and fanciful, from the 15th to the 21st centuries.
What a wonderful book for the poet.
Examples- an exaltation of larks, an ostentation of peacocks, a sulk of foxes, a shrewdness of apes, a leap of leopards, a score of bachlors, an unction of undertakers, a click of photographers, a wince of dentists and a lot of realtors.
After reading for awhile it really gets you thinking about metaphors that really work.
Barnes and Noble for $16 and Amazon for less I'm sure.
Great for your library.
